Upgrading your Instagram account!

You are an amateur or professional athlete in the CrossFit world and looking for sponsors. Yet you don't have that 100k followers and you think that no one will see any potential into working with you!

Well, there are many ways to help the brands that want to help you achieve your goals. One of the easier way to do it is first to transform your Personnal Instagram Account into a business Account.

Why? Simply to be able to track who is following you and to get statistics on your post, pictures, videos and stories. This might not seem much for you , but for business it does matter a lot.

Interaction with your content is key for advertiser. Yes, business are advertiser when working with athletes and social media influencers. The longer your follower are on your page the best the chances to redirect them to one of your sponsor.

Start knowing and understanding your instagram followers

Step 1:

  1. Login you facebook account via a computer

  2. Click on Pages

  3. Click on Create a Business Page

  4. Enter a name for the new page (Usually your name for easy management)

  5. Enter a category (Athlete is the most common, but you can use anything)

  6. Ignore the photos

  7. Go into settings and hide as much stuff as possible in the available options. Update the settings so they are as hidden as possible (no share, no message, no identification, etc. you can event chose to not show anything in canada) Remember that we are using it for instagram, not facebook.

  8. Link your Instagram account to your Page. Click Connect Account (another window will open, login to your instagram profil) Usefull link: https://blog.hootsuite.com/steps-to-create-a-facebook-business-page/

  1. Click on Branded Content (another page will open, go to settings) Activate the page Approvals Add Approved pages (suggestion is to only put your sponsors or the business with which you are working.

Step 3 CREATE A FACEBOOK BUSINESS ID: (we will explain shortly how and why to do it)

You should now be able to go on Instagram and see options you did not have previously.

Stuff like Stats under your post, in your stories. You can keep editing your profile set up as usual, honestly it doesn't change a lot as a user.
